Are you on the hunt for the best electric longboard you can get your hands on? Then you've come to exactly the right place. Evolve make a wide variety of different electric longboards, each with its own unique charm, made with the purpose of being the perfect ride for carving. Whether you're looking to fly along the pavement at warp speed, or if you're wanting to get your thrills up in the hills and less-beaten tracks. Evolve has a board to suit everyone. Here's a rundown of what's on offer.
HADEAN SERIES
Each of our boards are part of a series, and in each series are variants with different setups to make them a beast at what they do. The top of the food chain at Evolve right now is the Hadean Series. If you took the essence of going fast and packaged it up, lit it on fire, and shot it out of a cannon – the Hadean Series boards are what you'd find in the crater left behind.
Available in several combinations, the Hadean electric longboards are customizable and have a variety of interchangeable parts to allow them to shred with the best on whatever trail you point it at.
The Hadean street models
The Hadean Carbon and Bamboo Street models are the quickest of the lot. Capable of up to 31mph at full speed, these are not for the faint of heart. But with that said, their advanced E-FOC motor controllers, paired with the latest Phaze remote allow the rider to control the torque with ease.
The Hadean All-Terrain models
The All-Terrain Hadeans are equipped with the same ultra-powerful battery and motors, but with more of a focus on torque and responsiveness than on outright top speed. These boards have a range of 24.8 miles and are aimed at flinging dirt out the back as they motor their way up (and down) whatever dirt track you can find.
The GTR Series
If you're looking for a fast electric longboard, but one with a lower price point than the Hadean, look no further than the Evolve Bamboo GTR Series. This beast of a board took the skateboarding world by storm, and for good reason.
The GTR street models
The GTR Street models are some of the most popular electric longboards in the Evolve range, and it's not hard to see why. They've got everything you could want in an electric skateboard, and then some. Their dual 6000W rated 6368 motors can take you up to 27 mph, with a range of up to 31 miles on a single charge, and a top-of-the-line wireless remote control.
But that's not all. The GTR street boards also come with a whole host of other features that make them stand out from the crowd. These boards can be fitted with Prism Stip under glow lighting to really make them pop once the sun starts to set. And unlike the Hadean Series boards, these are able to be fitted with the Evolve travel battery. This makes them able to be taken on airlines and brought along for your next holiday adventure!
The GTR All-Terrain models
The All-Terrain models boast many of the same technological features as the street models but as the name suggests, these longboards are designed to take on anything you can throw at them. Whether it's tarmac, dirt, or even sand.
Fitted with chunky 7" pneumatic tires, and equipped with powerful motors and battery, these electric longboards will make light work of any terrain you come across. And with a range of up to 19 miles on a single charge, you'll be able to explore further than ever before.
Carbon vs Bamboo board material
There's a lot of debate about which is better – carbon fiber or bamboo-topped boards. The truth is, it depends on what you're looking for from your board.
Bamboo boards have been around for a lot longer in skateboarding overall, and as such have had developments over the years. The bamboo boards are more flexible than their carbon companions and have a highly pronounced concave shape to them. The traditional longboarders looking to get into electric skateboarding tend to feel at home on bamboo.
Carbon fiber boards are the new kids on the block, but that doesn't mean they're not up to the task. In fact, when it comes to strength, there's nothing better. These boards are much flatter than the bamboo options but are covered in grip tape. These have a stiffer feeling to them if that is more to your preference. Another thing worth mentioning is that as far as weight is concerned, both of these materials are very light and there's only a fractional weight difference between them. Though the carbon is the ever so slightly lighter of the two.
No matter what board you choose, if you're looking at an Evolve electric longboard, you're guaranteed to be picking up a quality product.
